The Coastal Carolina Camellia Society in the Charleston area is a local society, affiliated with the American Camellia Society, whose members usually meet on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. from August through April. Monthly meetings typically feature a program or guest speaker. Currently our club meets at Essex Village Christ Church (unless otherwise indicated) at 716 Savage Road, Charleston, S.C. Annual dues are $10 for individuals and families. In addition to monthly meetings, membership includes club projects including our annual judged camellia show, plant sales, work day At Magnolia Gardens, and plant auction/ summer picnic.

The Spring Show is normally held on the fourth Saturday in January at the Citadel Mall at the corner of I-526 and Sam Rittenberg Blvd. Blooms are entered from 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM and there is no entry fee and club members will be on hand to assist newcomers.

The Club's next annual spring camellia show will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2016 at the Citadel Mall. If you are interested in bringing and entering flowers to be judged at these shows, you may obtain a show schedule with rules for bloom entry by contacting Darren Sheriff (Show Chairman) at Gardeners wishing to determine their unknown varieties of camellias are encouraged to bring them for identification. Properly identified blooms are eligible for entry in the show, if entered by entry deadline. We hope to see you there!
